Ismaela Magliotto Quevedo is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Uno.Cinco, a Chilean non-profit organization working on climate action, sustainability, and the energy transition. Her work focuses on the intersection between youth engagement, climate policy, and environmental governance. Ismaela has represented Latin America on the global stage as a delegate to the UNFCCC ACE Youth Exchange in 2022 and she was selected by Chile’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a Youth Negotiator for COP27. She also served as General Coordinator of Chile’s Second National Youth Conference on Climate Change, convening young leaders to advance climate action and policy dialogue.
Her leadership has been recognized internationally. She was named a Young Changemaker by the International Union for Conservation of Nature Leaders Forum in 2023 and selected as a “Changemaker for the Planet” by the ChangemakerXchange Forum in 2022. She also participated in the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program. Through her work and activism, Ismaela continues to amplify youth voices in climate negotiations, strengthen regional cooperation, and advocate for equitable, science-based environmental solutions across Latin America. She holds a degree in process engineering and environmental civil engineering from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. In addition, she received diplomas in climate change from the University of Chile’s Center for Climate and Resilience Research (CR2) as well as in corporate sustainability from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
